Being bilingual in Portuguese and English, what started as a hobby turned into a life-long profession. I studied French and Spanish deeply, to add these languages into my work.
I have been translating from English, French and Spanish into Portuguese for more than 25 years. I translated for all kinds of businesses, from boutique translation agencies to highly specialized, pharmaceutical companies.
From contracts, terms & conditions and tenders in the business sector to sales and promotional materials in the marketing sector, thousands of texts have gone through my hands. In more recent years, I have been dedicating myself to a passion: medical and pharma communication.
Medical and pharmaceutical markets have their own set of rules. They also use language and terms peculiar to their world, which have evolved alongside ever-rising regulatory requirements to meet the high standards now demanded regarding precision, efficiency and public perception. Any effective copy, and hence any decent translation work in medical and pharmaceutical markets communication, has to comply with these standards. And that, precisely, is what I do.
